More about this artwork:

This large-scale bronze sculpture is based on an earlier work titled ‘Innoscience’, which is a sculptural portrait of Quinn's first son at seven months old soon after he was diagnosed with a severe milk allergy. Planet was commissioned by Chatsworth House and placed in their formal gardens, landscaped by Capability Brown. Made in painted bronze and steel, the work measures nearly 10 metres long and almost 4m high, but appears to hover over the ground as if impossibly suspended, giving the illusion of weightlessness. Despite its emphasis on the fragility of life, Planet's enormous scale disrupts our sense of time and space.
